چکیده

The present paper is a contribution to the validation of the newly developed methodological framework, called "Adaptive Control Methodology" (ACM) introduced in a previous paper. ACM is a tool for planning and on-line control of complex socioeconomic processes. It combines the techniques of adaptive control theory with System Dynamics and Group Multicriteria Decision Aid. In the following the usefulness and practical use of this framework is set in perspective by comparing it with recurrent planning and control of financial processes in the BSN/DANONE group. As a result of this comparison, some lessons are drawn on the way the practical implementation of the theoretical framework can be eased. As a by-product recommendations are made on how to influence in a constructive way common planning processes in the real world.

Sustainable Planning of Supply Chains in Large-Scale Systems with Real Options Analysis

This paper presents a structure that empower designing supervisory groups to survey the estimation of real options in projects of enormous scale, incompletely standardized frameworks actualized a couple of times over the medium term. Specific options writing is done using a methodology of planning the design and making prior decisions regarding the arrangements of specific options, with a recre...

Concurrent control on resource planning and revenue/expenditure estimation in large-scale shell material embankment projects management using discrete-event simulation

Resource planning in large-scale construction projects has been a complicated management issue requiring mechanisms to facilitate decision making for managers. In the present study, a computer-aided simulation model is developed based on concurrent control of resources and revenue/expenditure. The proposed method responds to the demand of resource management and scheduling in shell material emb...

Considering Production Planning in the Multi-period Inventory Routing Problem with Transshipment between Retailers

Generally, the inventory routing problem occurs in a supply chain where customers consider the supplier responsible for inventory replenishment. In this situation, the supplier finds the answer to questions regarding the time and quantity of delivery to the customer as well as the sequence of customers in the routes. Considering the effect of production decisions on answering these questions, t...

Adaptive Fuzzy Dynamic Sliding Mode Control of Nonlinear Systems

Two phenomena can produce chattering: switching of input control signal and the large amplitude of this switching (switching gain). To remove the switching of input control signal, dynamic sliding mode control (DSMC) is used. In DSMC switching is removed due to the integrator which is placed before the plant. However, in DSMC the augmented system (system plus the integrator) is one dimension bi...
